There's no pressure to commit to therapy—it's an opportunity for you to make an informed decision based on your needs and comfort level. This brief session allows you to discuss your concerns, ask questions, and get a sense of how counseling can benefit you. Use this opportunity to share your challenges and goals and our counsellors are here to listen attentively and provide initial insights into how counseling can support you on your journey to emotional well-being. This is a good opportunity for the therapist to get to know what you’re looking for in therapy and whether the therapist is qualified to meet this.

Emotional Support Call

Our emotional support calls offer immediate care, emotional validation, practical guidance. By providing this accessible and compassionate support, we aim to enhance emotional well-being, promote coping skills, and empower individuals to navigate their challenges with resilience and strength. Our emotional support calls are designed to offer a listening ear and a supportive presence to those who may be experiencing emotional distress, loneliness, or a need for guidance. We have a team of individuals that provide emotional support calls lasting 25 minutes. This is a 8H service, 7 days a week, running from 12pm-8pm. Scheduling can be done as early as an hour prior, or if the call volumes are high then there will be a waiting time which will be stated by our team.

Mental Health Screening

Our skilled professionals utilize evidence-based screening tools to analyze various factors, including mood, anxiety, and stress levels. The screening helps us understand your unique needs, enabling us to create personalized interventions tailored to your specific challenges. This screening can be especially helpful to individuals who have been feeling emotionally unwell lately, gone through a stressful situation and would like to gauge their emotional health through seeking a therapist consultation but unsure about whether therapy is for you. The mental health screening lasts for 45 minutes, and is conducted online and in person

Our 180Counselling is to ensure that at BetterMind we also offer counselling services at a more affordable rate of RM180 to individuals from lower-income groups and university-going students. Our commitment to ensuring we also provide low-cost counselling reflects our passion to creating a positive impact and making a difference in people's lives. Individuals with an income of less than RM2,100 and students currently in any tertiary education institutions can book a session with us.
